Prescriptions for Prevention Program
Philadelphia Regional Center for Children’s Environmental Health (PRCCEH)
University of Pennsylvania
This resource provides free access to factsheets for a variety of environmental exposures.
In a busy office practice, doctors and patients frequently focus on the health issue that brought the child to the office. Many environmental factors contribute to a child’s overall health but are not often directly addressed. Doctors and parents may not know that community resources exist to help with environmental health concerns.
This PRCCEH program screens patients for environmental risks and automatically provides them and their healthcare providers with printed counseling materials containing community resources relevant to that environmental health issue.
