We are a national network of researchers developing practical solutions to protect children’s health from environmental hazards. Researchers in each of the six Collaborative Centers for Children’s Environmental Health Research and Translation (CEHRT) translate key children’s environmental health research findings into tools, strategies, and interventions that can be used or adapted by those working to protect children’s health, such as healthcare practitioners, policymakers, child care providers, community leaders, and families.
These centers are located across the United States and act as resources for researchers, federal and state agencies, health care professionals, and community members in developing practical solutions to protect children’s health.
The CEHRT Network applies a health equity lens to its work, and incorporates diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice outcome metrics throughout its evaluation framework. Centers partner with community based organizations to improve and protect children’s health, with an intentional focus on under-resourced communities and communities of color.
The network of CEHRT Centers is coordinated by the Children’s Environmental Health Network and funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the National Institutes of Health.
